ISBN is not working

Hello, last year I used Zotero to generate my references from an important paper and everything worked fine. Now that I have to produce another big body of work Zotero does not find the ISBNs in the "add items by Identifier". I have to manually write the name, author, date etc, which kind of beats the purpose of having a reference manager... I tried un-installing and re-installing the program but the issue is still there. Does anyone have a similar issue? How did you fix it?

    What's an example ISBN you're trying?

    Can you provide a Debug ID for an attempt that fails?

    Also, to be clear, while importing by ISBN with Add Item by Identifier should certainly work, and does in general, it's by no means the only or primary way of adding things to Zotero. You almost never need to manually enter metadata in Zotero.
