Author synonyms

Apologies if this is already answered somewhere but I could not find it. Just point me in the right direction!

Is it possible to set up a table of synonyms in Zotero? In particular I have a problem with accented author names, such as Žďárek. I find it very difficult to remember the correct accents and is is very slow to enter them with a standard English keyboard, plus older publications sometimes ommit the accents. Can I tell Zotero to seach both for Žďárek and Zdarek when I type either one?

    Stripping accents for searching is planned, but no ETA on when it will be implemented
