How to import annotations into pdf document?

The highlighting text of a document will disappear after using ZotFile to create a linked file. I want to know how to attach an annotation to a pdf document. Is it a bug in the inline pdf reader?

    No, it's something ZotFile would need to be updated to support. Annotations are child items of attachments, and ZotFile creates a new linked-file attachment and deletes the original attachment. If it doesn't copy over the child annotations of the original item, they'll be deleted.
