Add/Edit bibliography function not working properly

I am writing a paper in APA 7 format. When I try to add the bibliography with the Zotero plugin with Word (Office 365) the formatting is all wrong. If I copy and paste from Zotero to Word, the formatting is correct, I do have to change the margins, but the direct import is all wrong. Please help as I can't finish the semester with this added hurdle!

    What do you mean by "the formatting is all wrong"?

    Can you take a screenshot, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here?

    Ok, I think I may have figured out the issue, sort of. When I started a new document to give an example, the plug in asked which formatting style I wanted. The examples were correct. The document that is giving me issue did not ask when I tried to input the first citation which format I wanted to use for the document. I don't know how to fix it, but I haven't written so much of the paper that transferring to a new document would be the easiest solution.

    It definitely asked. You can change the citation style for an existing document from the plugin's Document Preferences window.

    You can change the style under "Document Settings" in the Word add-on for Zotero

    Ok, I think I missed that option in my frustration with the issue but I will remember that next time. I tried doing that from Zotero program instead of through the document. Thank you for mentioning that.
