Thx. I was already very concerned about the development at PaperShip. Finally, some assurance that something is happening. I already looked at Mendeley, but they are throwing away their IOS version.

Any ETA on when beta testing will be ready? I’m desperate to ditch Mendeley since they’re discontinuing their iOS app in a few weeks, but every time I’ve tried to use Zotero for reading on both my laptop and iPad it’s been a huge PITA from an ease of use standpoint.

Can't wait. Please release it as soon as possible. Papership barely work but not function well. Hope users could writing notes on pdf attachment directly and could sync changed pdf to other platform. And notes could be displayed directly. Unlike papership, users have to click each items to see notes.

You better consider making it usable with the Apple Pencil. It would be amazing not only being able to highlight with it but also making draws over the pdf.

Like @lukelbro, I return to Zotero for Mendeley's abandonment of his version for IOS. I started with Zotero when it was a plugin for Firefox. A long time ago!

@danieltomasz "worked quite well" is an overstatement, especially if you've experienced the functionality that the Mendeley mobile apps had and it looks like this iOS app will have. Namely: in-app annotation and syncing across devices. Seeing the PDF viewer in beta now makes me super excited to be back on Zotero!

I installed the app, and it looks really nice, but I haven't found any way to point the app to my own webdav service. Am I missing something?

Anyhow, looks very nice! Unfortunately, I don't have a use for it at this point because I can't seem to set up my webdav service.

@internationaled: This initial version can't sync files via WebDAV, but we're planning to add support for that in the future.
