Are screenshots possible?

Hello:

First let me say that I am new to Zotero and really like it. Yhankyou for a wonderful product.

I save webpages using the snapshot feature and also PDF's in full. However I have limited storage in my laptop and instead of saving full web pages and PDF's I would like to take just screenshots of what is of intrest to me? Is this possible?

    no, not at the moment.
    The best I can think of is to unselect automatically take snapshot and automatically attach pdfs, use any regular snapshot tool and the attach the file to Zotero (e.g. by drag&drop).

    I don't think the screenshot funtion is going to happen - considering the rapidly declining cost of HD space and the big advantage of having snapshots (e.g. searchable text!) it will only be of interest to a small group of people.

    I also have the disk space problem, and my temporary solution is to save the info and link without a snapshot. I use the abstract field to type in a few lines for what the link is about, trying to use words that I am likely to use as search terms in the future. For a few areas of interest (contributing to a gardening plant wiki) I am being very methodical about adding tags as well. I only save snapshots for things I think I might really need. I'm not doing serious research, however, where being able to quote/cite a source precisely as it appeared on the day I took the snapshot is important. I'm using Zotero more as an elaborate personal bookmarker, organizer, and database of interesting stuff...a map to the things that fascinate and intrigue me.
