Zotero gives a and b for the same reference

Hi
Zotero is giving a and b for the same source. It appears that an older entry, which I deleted, still exists and zotero duplicates the references while citing them. Although I have deleted all entries of the reference from the library but it still appears in the red box under 'cited'. How to fix the problem

    This just means you haven't fully deleted at least one of the instances. It may help to toggle Word field codes to find the remaining instance.

    Well I re-checked but I have already deleted all entries from this document. but the entries exist in other documents, I mean in the previous word files of the same document. Do I need to delete them as well? The problem still persists.

    No, documents are entirely independent of each other. If the item is showing up in Cited, there is at least one citation to it somewhere in your document.
