Sharing my Library

I am trying to share "My Library"with a Professor I'm researching for. Between the two of us, we have not been able to successfully import "My Library." I've tried everything from emailing files, saving files (on my desktop and USB device) and my computer is freezing, getting errors, etc. What else can I do? I have followed the directions (below).

Thank you for your help!

How do I import files into Zotero?

Click on the gear icon and select “Import.” Browse to the location of your file and save it into Zotero. This option works for the following bibliographic file formats: Zotero RDF, MODS (Metadata Object Description Schema), BibTeX, RIS, Refer/BibIX, and Unqualified Dublin Core RDF. You can use Zotero’s import and export capabilities to transfer your reference library from one machine to another or from one reference management system to another (you can also use a USB drive to synch your data between computers). For instructions on how to make the switch from Endnote to Zotero, for example, please see our documentation.
  • Oftentimes, import will just take a while. If it appears to freeze (and you get no errors), just have some patience & wait. For large libraries or slow computers, you may have to wait overnight.

Please also list any errors you encountered. The documentation has bug reporting guidelines.
