Upgrade StorageUnable to insert bibliography
I previously wrote several documents over several days in separate word sheets using APA 6 th edition for each document. I now want to collate all the separate documents into one 35 page document, but the APA version is now 7th edition and Zotero is refusing to insert the bibliography. It keeps stating "you must insert a citation before performing this operation" even though all the citations I need are already in place. Can you please advise? Thanks.
Make sure you have active Zotero citations in the other documents, and then this should just work. (You can test this by insert a citation in a new document in one style and then copying it into another document and clicking Add/Edit Bibliography. You'll be prompted for the style to use in the new document and it will insert your bibliography and update the citations.)
If you or someone else saved the other documents in the wrong format, they could've become flattened. See Existing Citations Not Detected.
I found the link you suggested earlier on and had to restore the document from a previous backup as nothing else was working.
