Lost over a Gigabite of Academic Research Publications due to Syncing

Hello Everyone,
I just opened Zotero for the first time of the month. The software synced automatically, and my one gigabite of academic publication pdfs got erased. The group library on my cloud account was erased as well. My operating system is opensuse Tumbleweed release 202110110. Can I get my files back? I have not restarted my computer.

    Syncing only deletes items that were explicitly deleted, by you or someone else with access to the library. It looks like ~1700 items (parent and child) were deleted in one of your group libraries five days ago, so if that's what you're referring to, it was either you or the other member of the group. (It looks like the other group member synced around the same time. It's possible they were trying to leave the group and deleted the contents instead.)

    To restore those items, you'd have to restore from a backup of your Zotero data directory and overwrite the online library.
