Create parent item

Before Xmas, I was able to upload a bunch of pdfs into zot, some of which Zotero was able to grab title, author etc & add automatically. Those that did not have appropriate metadata I could then block together & use the "Create Parent item" command, & then manually add the info. This group blocking option has now disappeared, & I have to manually right click, hit "Create Parent item", then click "manual" for each pdf without parent data - a pain when 100+ items need this individual treatment. Currently using 5.0.94 - has a bug appeared? Thanks Richard

Batch creating of parent items has been restored in the latest Zotero beta: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/371255/#Comment_371255

I would suggest whenever possible using a DOI or ISBN to automatically retrieve metadata instead.

thanks - altho TBH @CityPrincess and @bthomaslee in link above cover my reasons for wanting multiple selection of items for "create parent items" v useful. Also, much of the "grey literature" I use lack DOI or ISBN - hence its a copy & paste job per item, or even manual typing of data ;-). Cheers
