Upgrade StorageStruggling with Citations in Text
I have written the paper and cited all citations. But at some point in time- the in text citations changed from numbers to the author's names and date of publication in parenthesis at the end of the sentence.
Example: Previous literature ... reached.(Boutera et al., 2020; Boylan et al., 2015; Downey et al., 2019; Foss & Kehlet, 2006; Kent et al., 2016; Kristiansen et al., 2016; Nandra et al., 2017; Nijland et al., 2017; Sheikh et al., 2018)
The cites used to be numbers 14-16, 19, 23-29.
The cites are still linked ... I just don't understand how to change this back.

It's possible you used a journal style and the journal changed its preferred style of citation or you may have accidentally changed your citation style or something else.
