Retrieving metadata problem

I drag a PDF from my desktop into my Web Library, but the metadata does not seem to be automatically retrieved, right clicking gives me no option to retrieve, and I see no menu option to retrieve. What gives? I don't see an answer that works for me in the Discussions here.

    Web Library doesn't have these capabilities, you need actual Zotero program that you download and install on your computer.
