Import Endnote including URL link
I'd like to import a large Endnote bibliography. In Endnote I have the URL field be a path to the pdf (eg,
"C:\Users\xx\OneDrive\xx\all refs\technical\electric power\Colwell 1979 .pdf"
this method works great in Endnote - I can simply click on the "Open Link" menu icon and the pdf opens in Acrobat.
I have exported a test Endnote library to Zotero as a RIS formatted txt file - it imports perfectly, and the above path appears in the Zotero URL field. However, how do I then make that Zotero URL the link to the pdf? I have installed Zotfile and tied all options I can find to Add Attachment etc, but none seem to work.
Lastly, in the end, I wish to import the large Endnote bibliography, and convert all these URL fields to links in a batch mode, so cutting and pasting per record doesn't work.
Any help will be most appreciated

That is, there should be no quotes in the L1 field. The quotes are there because they appear in the Endnote field, and are in the Endnote field because that content was created from the item I created from Windows right click menu "copy as path" for the pdf, pasted into the Endnote URL field. In other words, the quotes were my creation and when deleted and the path without quotes is used in the L1 field of the RIS file, correctly imports links to Zotero.
May I also say Zotero has progressed enormously from a few years ago - thanks to all contributors, a real gift to researchers.
