Zotero Chrome widget no longer working.

Hello,
I have used Zotero for over a year and now get the following error when trying to save papers:

"This item could not be saved because Zotero is not open or is unreachable. Please open Zotero and try again."

If I restart my computer the problem will go away for a couple of hours. My Zotero application is open and running. There is no reason it should be unreachable. I am doing nothing different that what I have done for over a year now.

Yes, all sites. I have also followed Zotero's instructions at https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/connector_zotero_unavailable with no sucess. My connector ping shows "Zotero Connector Server is Available". All firewalls, adblock, and other features/widgets are disabled...

I am also having this exact same issue! I need to restart my computer every time I was to save an article to my Zotero database

Me too, the behaviour started after allowing Chrome to update yesterday. Currently on Chrome version 85.0.4183.83
