Zotero not working in Google docs

I can see the Zotero button when I open my google doc but when I click on it, nothing happens. Do I need to do anything else to be able to use it?

    Do you have any other extensions related to Google Docs installed in your browser? You should start by disabling them and restarting the browser. If it does not help provide a Report ID.
