Dropping item from library to shared library doesn't copy pdf

I have Zotero 5.0.93 on MacOS BigSur. Copying item from my library to group library copy reference but doesn't copy pdf. I have enough space .

I use Zotfile for file management (I have all my files in a dropbox folder)- could this cause the issue?

    Yup. No linked files in groups.

    Any chance that to change the default behaviour or workaround so when copying item it will also create a new file for group - a copy of that pdf ?

    Or I need to drop pdf file every time I want to add a reference to a group?

    For now, you'd have to re-add the PDF.

    I don't think we've considered creating a new stored-file copy of the linked file, but it's an interesting idea. I've created an issue to track it.
