Empty Citation Being Copied

When I copy a citation to my clipboard, it's just an empty footnote. I'm new to Zotero, so I could be making a rookie mistake, but I don't see my problem. Copying and pasting the citation is blank, but when I go to the ACS style preview, it gives a full citation. Can anyone help?

    For ACS, you want to copy as bibliography, not as citation. The "Citation" for numeric styles like ACS is, indeed, just a number, so not particularly helpful.
