Cannot save pdfs

Recently, Zotero has stopped allowing me to save pdfs that I have opened from online (Using Chrome browser on Mac computer).
I have been able to save these before. Also, I have been able to open a saved article, highlight it etc and hit save--that function is not working either

    If you've already downloaded the PDF to your computer, you need to just drag it to Zotero from your file manager, or use Store Copy of File from the New Item menu in the Zotero toolbar. You can't save to Zotero while viewing a downloaded PDF in your browser — browsers don't allow that.

    You can, however, save a PDF that you're viewing online (at an http(s) URL) directly to Zotero. Make sure your browser is set to view PDFs in the browser rather than downloading them. (Sometimes sites also force downloading and you'll need to add them via drag and drop or Store Copy of File, though.)

    Whenever possible, you should save from an article page instead of trying to add a PDF directly.
