Change accounts for Chrome plugin, etc.

I used Zotero for my master's thesis, and now have a different account for work.
How do I change where the Chrome plugin adds sources? And how do I switch accounts in the desktop plugin? The solution I found in the documentation and forums (C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\zotero.exe -P in Run) didn't work.

    The Chrome plugin by default saves to the open local Zotero. If you don't have Zotero open, you can save online and you can clear the currently authenticated account using "Clear Credentials" from the General tab of the connector preferences (right-click on the Save to Zotero icon, then Preferences).
    The solution I found in the documentation and forums (C:\Program Files (x86)\Zotero\zotero.exe -P in Run) didn't work.
    You'd have to say more about this than "didn't work," in general this does work and would be the right approach (assuming you need both accounts on a given computer).

    I'm not sure what to say besides "didn't work" because literally nothing happened. I'll try it again - maybe I missed something.

    "Nothing happened" is only one way thing can not work, so that's certainly more detail already. So you're doing this when Zotero is closed down and you don't get anything? No error message, no Zotero opening, nothing? Can you check in Task Manager if there's any sign of Zotero opening?
