Unable to download files from databases

I am not able to download files after searches done in any database. When I try to click the download button I get following message: An error accured while trying to store this element. Look at "Troubleshooting Problems Saving to Zotero" for more information (freely translated from Norwegian).
I am using a Mac.

I have tried every step in the troubleshooting, and have tried to change my from Firefox to Google Chrome, but this did not work either. Can you please help me?

Thank you in advance!

[JavaScript Error: "HTTP request to http://web.b.ebscohost.com.ezproxy.[…]/ehost/viewarticle/render?[…] rejected with status 503"]"
Though from this error, you're just receiving a 503 Service Unavailable error from your institution's proxy server (or EBSCO upstream). That may resolve itself, but if not you'd have to ask them your IT department about that — that's not a Zotero problem.
  • It says "save to Zotero- Ebsco host".

We have been in contact with the university, but they did not know how to help us..
Will they understand more by being informed of the "503 service unavaileble error"?
  • Yeah, that might be more informative for them to know that their Proxy is returning 503 errors for Ebsco
  • Thank you so much!
  • Are you downloading lots of articles fairly quickly? This could also just be EBSCO restricting what it perceives as automated downloads of its data (503 means "Service not available") which I don't think would be the right error for this, but not unusual.
