Ibid not available in Google Docs?

Using the plugin for Google Docs, I don't seem to be able to get Ibid (using Chicago 17th, full note as the default citation style). The second citation appears as just the author's last name. Can someone please advise? Thanks.
  • The Chicago Manual recommends that form over ibid. since the 17th edition so that's implemented in the default format. There's an ibid version of the style on https://zotero.org/styles if you prefer that.
None of that is related to google docs
  • AH, ok. Thanks for the quick response.
  • OK. That's brilliant. Thank you - needed the ibid.

Now ... is it possible to put the [Author + Date/Year] for the subsequent reference to the article?
  • Technically possible, yes, but it's not something the Chicago Manual recommends (or even allows, I think) so you'd have to modify the style.
