Refreshing Bibliography

I am using Zotero while editing a Word document. When I edit the manuscript I delete the existing bibliography and click of Add Bibliography to prompt the refreshed bibliography. Often, it does not do anything at that point. Closing Zotero and Word, then repopening each has worked but not reliably. Is there a simpler way of prompting a revised bibliography?

First, there's no need whatsoever to do this. If "Automatically update citations" is enabled in the plugin's document preferences, as it is by default, the bibliography will be updated automatically whenever you insert citations. If that setting is disabled, or you deleted some citations, you just need to click the Refresh button. Don't delete and re-add the bibliography — it's a complete waste of time.

In any case, if this is a large document, it's very likely that you're simply not waiting long enough for the bibliography to be generated from the citations in your document.

If you really think nothing is happening, we'd want to see a Debug ID for inserting a bibliography and having nothing happen — but again, there's no reason to be doing that in the first place.
