Zotero for Google Docs - Can't Sign In

Hi all,

When I try to add citations to my google doc through the Zotero firefox plugin it just loads a blank screen. I assume this is for a google authentication step?
My Zotero also loads a progress bar that is full but doesn't move.

I'm running Zotero v5.0.91 and Firefox v81.0.2 on Mac OS Catilana 10.15.6

    Does it work if you restart Firefox and Zotero? What about if you restart your computer? Did you try disabling other extensions?

    Hey, thanks for chiming in! I've just restarted everything, still doing the same thing - loads a grey screen in a new window of firefox and a full zotero progress bar.

    Also my Zotero just updated to v5.0.92 fyi

    You should try disabling other extensions. If it starts working you should enable them one by one (and restart Firefox in after each enable) and see whether it's still working until you isolate the problem extension. If that doesn't work, you should try it in a new Firefox profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles

    Sorry I forgot to say I had also disabled my other extensions. I don't have a Firefox profile set up, is that an issue?
    I should also say that there are multiple people that the google doc is shared with, do they all need Zotero for it to work?

    If you're using Firefox, you have a profile — that's just how Firefox works. See the linked page for how to create a new one to test.

    Anyone editing the document needs to have the Zotero Connector installed to avoid breaking citations, but that's not causing this.

    Ok so I found this notification in my junk email, sorry for the delay!

    Gave the new profile a go, this time I just got the Zotero loading bar, with no grey window auto-opening.

    Cycle through your Zotero windows to make sure a window didn't just show up behind your other windows.

    If you really think a window isn't appearing, restart Zotero and your browser in that profile and provide a Debug ID from Zotero for this happening.

    In classic fashion, it worked that time with debug logging turned on!

    Here it is with the new firefox profile: D2085918452

    And now that the log in for google docs is saved with my normal firefox profile it worked again! Here is the debug log for doing it with my normal profile, still all other add-ons disabled: D1846050383
