No day date export — Zotero > BBT > Overleaf
Hi all,
I have my Zotero bibliography connected to Overleaf. Recently, I noticed that for @article types, the full creation date of the entry isn't being exported. While I enter a creation date into Zotero in 2019-09-23 format, the .bib file in Overleaf ends up having year = {2019} and month = sep fields, but not day one. Also, date display in my APA 6th reference list in Overlay keeps only displaying the year.
Does anybody know why this happens?
Thanks a ton.

bwiernikNote that APA specifies that only the year should be given for journal articles, so your reference list is correct.

emilianoeheynsedited December 2, 2019If you use the Overleaf-provided Zotero , you don't get BBT BibTeX, you get Zotero BibTeX. As @bwiernik points out, in this case this should suffice. If you want to get BBT BibTeX on overleaf, the Overleaf connector won't work. Some options to get your BBT BibTeX to Overleaf are listed at https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/exporting/auto/#getting-your-bbtgenerated-biblatexcitekeys-to-other-places

bwiernikedited December 2, 2019@adamsmith Is there a reason vanilla Zotero BibTeX doesn’t include the day?
-
adamsmithNo, that looks like a bug to me. CC @zuphilip (just because you've done some recent work on bibtex and might want to wrap the fix in)

wblakeFDRI'm using Chicago style notes. I'm experiencing the same problem with the day not exporting from Zotero to Overleaf.

adamsmithThanks for the reminder -- that indeed never got fixed.
