Word can find reference in Zotero but I can't find it when I search for it

Hi all,

I have references that word can find in Zotero but I can't find those references when I open Zotero and search for them. I assume Word is using another collection/library but only one library is appearing in Zotero. Any idea what's happening?

    Two likely possibilities:
    1. They're in a group. The Word add-on searches across all your libraries (i.e "My Library" and all groups) whereas standard Zotero search doesn't. The group title would be displayed above the found items in the Word add-on
    2. They only exist as metadata in the Word doc. That would happen if you deleted them in Zotero, if you inserted them on a different computer and they didn't sync, or if you or someone else inserted them from a different Zotero account. In that case they would _only_ show under "Cited items" after searching for them in Word.

    Hi Adam and thanks for the reply.

    The latter seems to be the case. I'll try the former suggestion. I know that I've added those citations in the past and used them recently so something's gone wrong recently.
