My citations are only coming out as footnotes

My citations are only coming out as footnotes

I am using default Chicago (author - date)

I do not want them to come out as footnotes

    1. Are you certain you have selected the non-footnote style within the document preferences setting for that document? It's different from your default style in the Zotero program, for example.

    2. Have you tried refreshing your whole document?

    3. What happens in a new document? Does it work? What happens if you copy/paste all of the content from your old document into that new document? Does that fix the problem?

    If those steps don't work, is there any more information you can provide? Someone can help you here.

    same problem here, the citation come out as footnote even if i chose author date of chicago style. i intented to use it in the text citation. please help

    @Asa_chahong That isn’t really possible. How exactly are you selecting the author-date style? What buttons are you clicking?
