RSS-feed function does not show description
Hi,
When using the feeds function for group libraries, it does not display description of the article when I use it in the RSS block in Moodle (all other non-Zotero feeds work fine showing descriptions in Moodle). However, in iGoogle it works with descriptions. Do you happen to know why this is so? Is there a standard that works with iGoogle but not with the Moodle block?
Kind regards,
Jonas

What kind of description would you expect? One possibility would be a bibliographic reference in a customizable style, but that may make more sense as an alternative format.
I see. In iGoogle (and others) one can expand and collapse "content" which I like very much and one example is this in expanded form:

Abstract Wikis are one of many Web 2.0 components that can be used to enhance the learning process. A wiki is a web communication and collaboration tool that can be used to engage students in learning with others within a collaborative environment. This paper explains wiki usage, investigates its contribution to various learning paradigms, examines the current literature on wiki use in education, and suggests additional uses in teaching software engineering.

Showing it collapsed, of course you only see the article name.
I think you are right re Moodle. It would be good to have Moodle also do expand/collapse. This will be my request at Moodle.org.
Best regards,
Jonas
Friendfeed
Fwd: #Zotero feed import is buggy. Why are the awesome #RSS feed descriptions not added to #FriendFeed eg http://ff.im/61SvC? The #Zotero group feed: https://api.zotero.org/groups/2175/items (über http://ff.im/61UVO)

My beloved awesome Java RSS reader :) doesn't accept the Zotero feed at all. 'Problem with feed' report here: http://forum.blogbridge.com/viewtopic.php?pid=4430#4430
#FF takes some time. at least nothing new was added when I exchanged the original group feed with the FeedBurner group feed.
