Unable to cite page numbers
I am using the MS Word Plug-in. When I attempt to add/edit a citation in the document, Zotero finds the book in my library, but it will not allow me to add page numbers. I have to edit those manually in the footnote at the bottom of the document page. It used to work fine but has stopped working. Any idea why? Thanks in advance.

I am using Zotero for MS Word on a Mac. Within Word, I click on "add/edit citation" in the Zotero plugin. When I do this, a Zotero box opens that allows me to type the author or title of the books contained in my Zotero library. I select the book that I want to cite. I then type a comma and the page numbers that I want to cite. I type this into the same Zotero box that I typed the author of the book I want to cite. When I first started using Zotero, this would allow me to complete a footnote citation with the book and page numbers. Now, the page numbers do not appear in the footnote unless I go into the Word document and put them in there manually.
I hope that helps you understand the challenge. I don't think I can attach a screenshot anywhere or else it would be more clear.
1. Within MS Word for Mac, click on the Zotero Plugin.
2. Click on add/edit citation.
3. This opens a box that allows you to search for book in my Zotero library.
4. Type in an author or book name and select one to cite it.
5. After selecting a book, type a comma after it and type a page number.
6. In the past, Zotero has recognized this comma and page number in order to include it in the footnote citation. Now, it does not recognize the comma and page number and does not include it in the footnote citation.
And that's also just a shortcut for page numbers specifically. You can always just click the bubble to customize the citation in various ways. See Customizing Cites. It's almost never necessary to manually edit the citation.
(It's possible the comma was allowed in a previous version, before recent changes to that dialog. The next version of Zotero will ignore a comma if entered.) You can always upload a screenshot to Dropbox or similar and provide a link here.
