i'd like to have the confirmation that yet today, for citing a reference at the biginning of a phrase, for example Brokart (2016) said that...
the unique solution is to use "delete authors" and to inform the author(s) oneself, even if it is tedious.

dstillmanYes, "Suppress Author" and manually typing the name is still the way to do this. Progress has been made towards a more automated solution but it's not yet available.
