The National Archives

I would find it useful to be able to capture metadata from documents online at the The National Archives. eg a list of names with birthdates from
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/browse-refine.asp?CatID=16&searchType=browserefine&pagenumber=1&query=*&queryType=1
Might this be possible with zotero?
  • Yes please! How hard would it be to write a translator myself? I have hundreds of papers from there I need to import.
  • turkeyphant: That really depends - there are some very helpful tools and tutorials out there to help you, so it's definitely feasible, but depending on your knowledge of java script it would still be some time investment

    to judge for yourself.
  • I have some of the skills necessary but don't think I'm nearly competent enough with Javascript to give it a go, certainly not on the timeframe I'm running on now.

Is there really no easy way to write a cheap and cheerful screenscraper to get information from The National Archives? I'm quite surprised it isn't already supported by Zotero.
