Google Scholar- can't get cites to work with proxy
I use google scholar via first remote logging into my library website in order to have permissions for all the content. Scholar is then accessed through a proxy. I can't figure out how to download citations into Zotero. No folder appears, and if I click the link for an item and the pdf shows up, Zotero just saves the pdf as a new item rather than the citation information.
The URL appears as: http://scholar.google.com.ezproxy.library.wisc.edu/schhp?hl=en
When I log onto google scholar WIHTOUT going through the library, I DO see the folder for Zotero downloads of citations. However, I then don't have permissions to actually see the pdf content for many of the articles.
Side note: I have disabled the proxy feature of Zotero as it didn't work properly and caused many problems, so hopefully the solution will not involve using this. Thanks!

This is an old discussion that has not been active in a long time. Instead of commenting here, you should start a new discussion. If you think the content of this discussion is still relevant, you can link to it from your new discussion.

that should give you access to most - if not all - of the files and - at least for my school - will direct you through the ezproxy where needed.
Also, try to activate "Find It at Wisconsin" in your google scholar preferences:

Please also note, that as all open source projects, Zotero is community driven. The simplest way to help to make Zotero better is to provide detailed feedback on its problems - so what exactly where the "many problems" the proxy feature caused, in what type of setup etc.
