Zotero online only?

Hi! I have to give an introduction to Zotero to colleagues, I'm quite a beginner with it myself, and I haven't really found a clear answer to a question I have : is having ONLY an online account on Zotero of any use? Is it possible to build a library without the desktop application installed? What are the features that would not be available with only the online version? Thank you!

    It's possible to only have an online account and you can add to the library online, but the online library is significantly more limited in its capabilities so it's very strongly recommended to install and principally rely on the Zotero desktop application.

    Things that aren't available online only include, e.g., word processor integration, several search functions including advanced search, saving items into collections using the browser connector, any add-ons people may want to use, etc.
