Adding "ebd." to Hochschule Hannover - Soziale Arbeit (German)

Hi everyone,

I'm using the citation style "Hochschule Hannover - Soziale Arbeit (German)" in my Paper.
Everything is perfekt except I need it to use "ebd." when two citations that are the same follow each other on the same page. I know some citation styles already use this. I just can't seem to add it to this style.
Could annyone help me adding this?
It would be a huge help.

Thankyou!
  • is ebd the German version if ibid?
  • Yes, it is!
  • Check out any other style that has the ibid functionality and you can pretty much copy it over.
It is a conditional that tests for ibid/ibid-with-locator (if) and if it's not that (else) prints out what you already have in the style.
  • Thanks for the tipp. I have tried it, but it's just not working. It either shows me an error or it changes evenything to ebd. and doesn't quote the first one, and the rest with ebd.
  • Great you tried.
Upload your code to pastebin.com and share the link here with us and we'll see where it's failing :)
  • Thank you for helping me!

Like I said, it's just the first ciation thats not showing. I have really no idea about these things so I very much appreciate the help.

Using validator.citationstyles.org/ you can track down the errors:
1-4. You copied the ibid section over from the other style, but didn't copy the citation-locator and contributors short macros that are called within that.
    How to fix:
    1. Copy/paste the macro
    2. replace contributors-short with creators-short that already exists in your style as a macro.
    3. replace macro "date" with "year" which you already have in the style.
    4. will be fixed with 1.

Let's see what happens after and take it from there.
  • Great, it worked on the first try! Thankyou.

Now I just need it to add the page number (if the page number is different to the citation bevor it) after ebd.
Could you help me with that too?

  • I don't understand what you achieve.
Can you explain in other words/with examples?
