I looked around but didn't find a single, clear solution to merging of multiple adjacent citations in the Word Plugin. In other words, how can I go, for example, from
76–79 80,81 to 76-81?

Currently not possible, but it's planned.
You could try to use the mentioned Word Macro or just do it manually.

- Go to the 76-79 item and add citations 80 & 81.
- Then select citations 80 & 81 and delete them.
- Then refresh to obtain citations (76-81)
Is that right?
