Started in Turabian, found out I needed to use Chicago style, now can't change

Hi, I began my thesis with the understanding that I should use the Turabian 8th edition as I had all throughout my masters program. Then I found out that for the thesis I needed to use the Chicago 17th ed. full note style.

I tried to change over to the Chicago through reseting the document preferences. It goes through all the effort, but nothing changes. I need the footnote indented 1/2" but it stays flush to the left.

Any suggestions on how to get Zotero to switch over?

    You just need to select the new style from Document preferences. If you have many citations, it might take some time for the updating to finish.

    I've tried that many times, also made sure I was not connected to the cloud as that seems to wig Zotero out.

    I've even selected the whole document and pasted it into a new, clean document and tried to change the style and it didn't budge.

    The only thing that I've found that works is to manually indent each footnote, but I'd rather work with the program rather than override it.

    What exactly is happening if you try this? If you're just talking about how footnotes are indented, that's not something that Zotero citation styles do. You can change that by modifying the "Footnote" style in Word.

    Hi Adam,
    It turns out that you are right. I was under the impression that it was through Zotero, but my husband suggested that it was connected in the footnote style in Word to my 'normal' style. My normal style does not have an indent, so if I either change the style it is based on or change the footnote style to indent, all is well. :) Thanks for chipping in. I was unaware that this fix was not through Zotero but through Word.
