Master Password Error when trying to sync

I am getting a new Mac and I want to sync with chrome so when I download zotero on my new computer i wont have lost all my previous citations. It will not let me do this as it says I have a master password error when I try to click the button "set up syncing". I have no idea what this means. I am using CHROME. All the forum discussions talk about firefox.

    What's the full error message?

    (This has nothing to do with your browser. The full version of Zotero just used to be available as a Firefox extension, prior to 2017.)
