Customizing APA 6 - spelling out author first name
Hello, at FPCEUP - Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, Porto, we use APA 6 but with author's first name spelled out. It's the citation style of the Educação, Sociedade e Culturas (ESC) magazine, from this faculty. I've looked on the Zotero guides but could not find a way of making this change. Can you help? Thank you.
1. Do you have a link to the style guidelines for the magazine and/or the faculty?
2. Does the magazine/faculty only publish in Portugeuse or also in other languages?
3. Should the style use "e" or "&" in lists of author names?
4. How should author names be arranged in the in-text citations and in the bibliography? Should the first name come before or after the last name (Curie, Marie or Marie Curie)? Can you show an example?
1. The style guidelines are in Portuguese in the following link (section "REFERÊNCIAS BIBLIOGRÁFICAS"): https://www.fpce.up.pt/ciie/?q=publication/revista-educação-sociedade-culturas/page/instrucoes-aos-autores I can translate them if needed.
2. Mainly in Portuguese, sometimes in English.
3. "&"
4.
In-text citations: (Surname, year)
Example: (Trindade, 2010)
Bibliography - Articles: Surname, Name
Example: Bianchetti, Lucídio, & Correia, José A.
Bibliography - Book chapters: Authors of the chapter: Surname, Name + Editors: Name Surname
Example: Stoer, Stephen R., & Cortesão, Luiza (2008). Multiculturalism and educational policy in a global context (European perspectives). In Nicolas Burbules & Carlos Alberto Torres (Eds.), Globalizations and education critical perspectives (2nd ed., pp. 253-274). Nova Iorque/Londres: Routledge.
Give it a try and let me know if you need any more changes.
There are a few hard-coded phrases (they don't come up often):

I set these all to use Portuguese rather than English
Cefai, Carmel, Bartolo, Paul, Cavioni, Valeria, & Downes, Paul. (2018).
There shouldn't be a dot between "Paul" and "(2018)".
Could you do this?
Thanks a lot!
Ana
