APA 6 referencing

If there are three or more authors, you should include all the author names the first time you cite the work. In subsequent citations, you should include the first author followed by: et al. But when I use zotero with APA 6th to cite a paper... it is giving me et al each time. Please can someone help?

Are you sure you are using APA6?
These changes came with APA7 which is now bundled with Zotero.

Thanks for the reply. I have it set to 6 for the document. Do i need to set it to 6 somewhere else too?

Seems to occur if it's over 3 authors....I don't think this is correct?

Could you check in a fresh document for testing? (also, make sure you're using the right style -- lots of people are confusing the American Sociological Association (6th) edition with APA 6th edition)

checked another doc and still occurring, defs on APA thanks. Does it happen when the authors are more than a certain number?

Yeah, APA 6 uses et al. for the first citation if there are more than 5 authors
