Creating final version of Word document for publisher

Used Zotero without incident to create a manuscript for a medical journal, but now the publisher would like the in-manuscript citations and bibliography to have the Zotero formatting stripped so that they can prepare for in-house publishing. I have not see this issue discussed, but is there any way to keep Zotero text but remove formatting in final copy for the publisher? Thanks in advance for any help the group can provide.

which version are you using? At least in my version of the plugin there is a field all the way to the right with a broken chain link that removes all field codes for you.

Edit: I guess if you don't have that you could save as RTF - which would get rid of the field codes, though depending on your document potentially also some of the formatting...

You can flatten all document fields with Select All and Ctrl-Shift-F9/Cmd-Shift-F9 or, as adamsmith notes, flatten just Zotero fields using the new Remove Field Codes option in the 2.0-compatible plugin.
