ERROR: "delete reconciliation unimplemented for collections"

I currently cannot get my local zotero to sync with the zotero server--I keep receiving an error message that reads "delete reconciliation unimplemented for collections." Can someone help me figure out what's going on here? I believe that the message results from a failed import--I tried to import a document from my desktop into zotero, but it hung my system and I had to cancel it out. After several tries at downloading the doc, I gave up and deleted the "Imported Wednesday July 15...." folder it had created. However, that folder had already been synced on the zotero server and the sync function appears to fail as a result of the presence of that folder on the server, but not in my local desktop work. I can't seem to manually remove the folder from my server space, so I can't test this hypothesis. Is this indeed what is interrupting the sync function?

Thank you

  • That's a rare sync error that hasn't yet been dealt with. See Troubleshooting Sync Errors for server reset steps, and let us know if you have trouble.

For the stalled import, note that large imports may appear to hang Firefox, but, for larger files, that doesn't necessarily mean they're not working—they might just need a while to process.
  • Hello,
On a powerpc portable running mac os 10.5 and the latest zotero (updated last night), I tried syncing and got the same error as above. I tried using the reset full sync method and once again got the same sync error after clicking through 5 items to reconcile. It was error number 1190537551.
I will try one of the more complex methods from the troublesolving page in a couple of weeks when I'm on furlough from my job.
    In Peace,
    Sam
