syncing beginning

I think this is a really stupid question, but I don't manage to sync my data. As said in your documentation, I created a zotero.org account, but then, I can't find the Zotero Sync server section. Furthermore, the sync button does not exist on my zotero's toolbar...

    Just a quick check - are you using zotero 2.0 beta? Sync is only included with this version.

    To check your version go to the gear menu and select "about Zotero".

    If you are using 2.0, to find the sync settings (plagiarised from adamsmith's answer to a similar question) :
    There is a gear symbol in zotero (between the + and the tag symbol).
    Click on the arrow next to it. select preferences, the opening window has several tabs, one of them says sync

    ok, I have the 1.0.10 version... I told that was a stupid question ... ;-)
    If I dowload the 2.0 beta version, it won't change my zotero library ?

    it will change your data-structure (i.e. the part "under the hood" that you don't see), but nothing about your library will change.
