Translator field

Hello, when i create a new presentation, there used to be an additional drop down choices, Presenter, contributor, and translator. i had to update my zotero to latest version few days ago and now i dont see translator under names field. how do i go about adding it? thank you

  • Presentation has never had Translator in that dropdown menu (not for any reason, just an oversight). You can enter the Translator into Extra like this:
    Translator: Last || First

    That will get picked up in citations as needed and will be transferred to a real Translator field when that becomes available.
  • if i could share a screenshot i would, before update to the latest version of zotero, we have translator in drop down.. unless it's in a csl somewhere? if i could mod the csl to have that done i would, if i know how...

    Translator is in the drop down menu for some items types, but not others.

    Like I said above, you can add a translator to Extra and it will appear in citations.

    Again, add it to Extra like this:
    Translator: Last Name || First Name

    Add multiple lines.

    Just put these lines at the top of Extra, above the notes. You can add extra empty lines in between.
