Zotero Connector not working across browsers

Hello,

A couple of days ago, Zotero Connector has not been able to save anything from Safari.

I read that maybe it was my connector, so I also tried it on Chrome, with no difference. Zotero says "Saving to [folder]" but the citation never appears. Sometimes this would happen and I would quit and restart Zotero. No luck today.

I've downloaded an updated version of Zotero, and then the beta version (so I can use Safari instead of Chrome) with the same results.

I went through the troubleshooting page and made sure I did everything, for both browsers. Here are the Report IDs:

For Chrome: 2120639829
For Safari: 273837345

What else can I do?
  • Does it work anywhere? E.g., saving this page?

Can you provide a Debug ID from both the Chrome connector and from Zotero for a save attempt that doesn't work?
  • Yes, 832086830 (Chrome connector) and D1369126526 for Zotero. I hope I did them right...
  • Update: I think it might be a HathiTrust-specific issue. The connector worked with a book from Google Books.

You provided a Report ID from Chrome, not a Debug ID.

And you didn't answer my question: does it work elsewhere, such as on this page? On this page, you should see a blue icon, and it should say "Save to Zotero (Embedded Metadata)" when you hover over the button.

If it's just a specific site that isn't working, we'd want an example URL.
  • It works saving this page (now).

I followed the instructions on the link, I'll try again later.

As I mentioned, it worked on Google Books but not on Hathi Trust (eg: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=hvd.hnx942&view=1up&seq=294).

I'll do the debug later and get back to you. Thanks.
