Hello, I have Zotero downloaded on my 2011 MacBook Pro, and recently it stopped syncing new files (maybe as of a day or two ago). I'm not sure if it has to do with the age of my device, but the error message seems to have to do with either connection timeout, something wrong with Google Chrome, or some other problem. I don't seem to be having the same problem on my 2017 MacBook Pro, though, so I'm wondering if the devices have anything to do with it.

There's a problem with your network connection. ("chrome://" isn't referring to Google Chrome, so ignore that.)

    See Connection Error.
  • It didn't work. I changed my Firefox proxy setting to "no proxy," and my Zotero setting to 0. Is there something else that might be the issue?
  • We don't know what your connection situation is, so it's not something we can advise you on. If you have the same settings in both Firefox and Zotero, they should work the same after restarting. It could also be an SSL Certificate Error, though usually that's a different error.
  • But also, generally you should leave the proxy settings set to the default and just adjust your system proxy settings to be correct.
