Need to uninstall before switching from beta version to Zotero 5.0?
I have a Mac and use Safari. I downloaded Zotero beta so that I could use the Safari connector. It seems to have a few minor bugs, and so I'd like to just download the regular Zotero 5.0 and use the Google Chrome connector instead. Do I have to uninstall the Zotero beta standalone from my Mac first, or can I just go ahead and download the regular Zotero 5.0 and it'll overwrite the existing Zotero beta on my Mac? Hope this question makes sense.
Switching back to the stable version is fine, but the point of the beta is to catch bugs before they make it into a release version, so we'd want to know about anything you encountered. And if you're encountering a problem and we don't fix it, you'll just encounter it again when it makes it to the production version.
Or are you just talking about the Safari connector getting disabled after app updates, as discussed in the Safari connector thread?
