I think you're right about what's happening, I do have headings within the document that fit the style. I tried what you suggested and haven't had any luck though. I set it up as shown in the screenshot linked below and removed the bold and center, but as soon as I change styles or refresh they are reapplied. Any other thoughts?
Click on the "More" button in the lower right corner of the styles pane (the box with the arrow corner). What style is selected in the list that pops up.
Upgrade Storage
Also be ensure a blank line or two between the heading before the bibliography and the bibliography itself before changing styles.

What citation style are you using?
I've tried changing it to Normal and it fixes it, but the problem comes back if I refresh
I'm using APA 7th, but have tried 6th and MLA. Same thing.
