Metadata import from PDF generated through latex

I have a PDF generated through latex. The PDF has metadata embedded using hyperref package of latex. The Adobe reader can see the metadata but Zotero is not using that metadata to create the item in library. Can I do something to make Zotero use the PDF embedded metadata to create library item?

    No. Zotero doesn't use metadata embedded in PDFs at all (too often, such metadata is complete nonsense). Zotero matches PDFs against metadata available online using various strategies.
    Zotero relies heavily on DOIs in that process (it also does other things -- but it looks for DOIs first and they work best), so one thing you can do is (assuming we're talking about an academic PDF) to put it on a preprint server that assigns DOIs and provide the DOI on the first page.
