Hi

On a new laptop I have installed zotero and wanted to download my library to this laptop by syncing from online zotero account. But I only got some of the files. For most of the files I get the notification that they cannot be found. I tried to copy the backup of my zotero to the new data directory, but its not still not working. I have tried for over three ours now and don't know what to do. Thanks for help.

    See the error message you're getting:
    You have reached your Zotero File Storage quota. Some files were not uploaded. Other Zotero data will continue to sync to the server.

    See your zotero.org account settings for additional storage options.
    Storage settings are here: https://www.zotero.org/settings/storage

    (You can, however, transfer your library by copying the old data directory in full. If that's not working, either you're doing something wrong or the files didn't exist on the other computer either and were created elsewhere.)

    thanks for your answer. I have tried to copy the old data directory, but it's still not working. In fact, it seems like the storage folder has all files. Can it be that the zotero.sqlite file is causing problems?

    Not working how? You'd have to say more than that.

    Transferring the data directory will certainly work if it's working on the old computer and you copy it to the correct location on the new one.
