Combining Identical Citation Footnotes

When I site the same source (using Chicago footnotes) multiple times in a page, Zotero creates a separate entry for each citation (superscripts indicated by ()):

(13) Rawls, 308.
(14) Rawls, 309.
(15) Rawls, 309.

How can I combine identical citations so that it appears like so?:

(13) Rawls, 308.
(14, 15) Rawls, 309.

Thank you!
  • Zotero is just inserting regular Word footnotes. This sort of combining of footnotes isn’t possible (nor is it recommended by the Chicago manual).

An alternative would be to refer to the same footnote twice. You can do this using Word’s Cross-Reference feature and selecting the footnote.
